It’s hard to believe that 18 years have passed since the release of the first volume, but this year marks an exciting milestone as Skream prepares to unveil Skreamizm Vol. 8.
As a mastering engineer, we had the absolute pleasure of being involved in shaping this incredible body of work, ensuring that each track reaches its full sonic potential.
Among the standout pieces on the album is the infectious track titled “Your Love.” This bouncy and percussive soulful house anthem, featuring the mesmerizing vocals of the talented Bajan singer, Lagoon Wavey, underwent meticulous mastering to achieve its polished and impactful sound. Skream’s artistic evolution is evident when comparing the sound of the first Skreamizm to this latest instalment. Over the years, he has absorbed various genres like dubstep, disco, techno, and garage into his repertoire, and with “Your Love,” Skream is firmly in his house bag.
